Trogon

Trogons are elegant colored birds with delicate noticeable plumage who live by their beak strength and zytodactylic toes on perches around the world. Torgons include Quetzal birds and prefer avian lifestyles of nonmigrational arboreal ease। Trogons show selectively on forest cover branches their native home roosts in Cuba, Texas, Panama, Malaysia, and Mexico।
The Trogon arboreal range spans from humid moist tropical forest to high altitude forest covered in clouds. Africa, Asia, Caribbean nations, Dominican Republic, and other forest fauna wonderlands will host their share of brilliantly colored Trogons. A Trogon with a formal white suit and a ringed neck and scarlet underparts make a breathtaking sight. Central American subspecies of the Trogon family are the long tailed Quetzals and their tipped coverts.
Trogons have a sense of presence, perched with their feathers shown to advantage and balanced in a restful manner over twig and branch। Barely moving, the Elegant Trogon allows others to get a good look at its artful feather cover. Flying sparingly, the Trogon nevertheless captures prey when it needs to do so. Frustratingly for bird watchers, the vocalization makes it hard to locate the Trogon. A circular displacement effect of the Trogon call helps it hide in the wild.
The trogons have some special colors and might sport metallic green or bronze, orange touches, underparts with stripes or bands. The yellow eye of the Trogon makes for a thoughtful looking bird. The flashy male Trogon may have a red or yellow belly while the female Trogon is more austerely plumaged. Whitehead’s Trogon is spectacularly almost parrot-colored in the field.
Trogons make for spectacular ecototourism and educational opportunities। The variable plumage is striking and a beautiful reward for hikers and avian cognoscenti and bird watchers।
